Diary, 1781.

Orignial manuscript diary, in French, 26 March-18 November 1781 of Cromot Du Bourg describing in detail the campaign which culminated in the siege and surrender of Yorktown. Also appended are copies of Yorktown diaries kept by army's engineers and M. de Menonville, Aide Major-General charged with work on the trench; also contains an account of Naval Armament under the command of the Count de Grasse. V. 2 is a separate folder containg 13 related maps and 1 view. V. 3 is a bound copy of the English translation of this diary composed of excerpts from the original issues of the Magazine of American History where is was published in 1880-1881.
